Jaguar GR3
Long-range precision rockets and IR missiles, plus good agility and speed are what set this tough little Attack plane apart-a lethal combo in the hand of a skilled pilot.
— In-game description
The Jaguar GR3 is an attack aircraft that was introduced into service in 1973. Its rugged construction gives the Jaguar GR3 exceptional durability. Armed with a powerful close-range armament of internal cannons, a high capacity load out of rockets, the Jaguar GR3 is capable of impressive damage at close range attacks. Its four fast-to-lock short range missiles have impressive range and performance. Pilots skilled to master its close range weapons can find the Jaguar GR3 deadly in dog fights and head-on attacks.
Loadout
The Jaguar GR3 is equipped with short range ×4 heat-seeking missile, internal precision cannon, and ×76 light rockets. The Jaguar GR3 also comes with ×4 flares.

Special Ability
The Jaguar GR3 has a special ability called Brace for Impact when equipped and triggered, it reduces all incoming damage by 75% for 0.66 seconds, and by 50% for the following 2.0 seconds. There is a cool down period between uses.
Veteran tips
The Jaguar GR3 is a very durable plane capable of surviving multiple direct hits from an opponent. The cannons are well balanced with low spread and moderately good distance. Higher than average damage compensates for slower firing speeds. The rockets have the longest range, fastest flying speed, and largest blast radius in the skies. This comes at the cost of slow firing speeds and average damage. The cannon and rocket reticle distances are nearly matched. In the hands of skilled pilot, the cannon auto aim can be used to direct the rocket fire, if both weapons are fired simultaneously. The short range, heat-seeking missiles are particularly impressive. The have the longest firing range, the fastest flying speeds, and the largest turn rate in the skies. This paired with a fast lock speed makes the missiles deadly. Its afterburners have adequate performance. If a pilot attempts a steep climb, the afterburners run out of power quickly and a stall will happen. Its small size, fast roll speed, make the Jaguar feel nimble. The Brace For Impact special is particularly hard to time. If it is timed correctly the HUD will display "Perfect", and the ability will automatically recharge to 100%. It is suggested to rely on flares first, and use the special ability as a last resort, when the pilot is certain to take a missile strike. The Jaguar GR3 performs well in dog fights and in terrain.
Trivia
The Jaguar GR3 attack aircraft originally used by the British Royal Air Force and the French Air Force in the close air support role. It is still in service with the Indian Air Force. The Jaguar design was originally conceived in the 1960s as a jet trainer by a joint Anglo-French venture of French Breguet Aviation and the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC). The airframe was manufactured by SEPECAT (French: Société Européenne de Production de l'avion Ecole de Combat et d'Appui Tactique). In-game, Jaguar GR3 is equipped with what appears to be six LAU-3 rocket pods and four MBDA UK AIM-132 (ASRAAM). In real life, the Jaguar would have been equipped with French Matra SNEB rocket equipped pods, and the more common NATO AIM-9 Sidewinder missile. The Indian Air Force was only Air Force to equip the Jaguar GR3 with the AIM-132 (ASRAAM). In-game, the Rampant Lion paint shows airframe tail number XX725. XX725 Jaguar GR.3A first flown on 8th May 1974, XX725 entered service with 226 OCU (Operational Conversion Unit [British Royal Air Force]) the next month. As part of purchasing agreement Jaguars were sold to the Indian Air Force. XX725 returned to BAC in June 1979, given the civilian registration of G-27-325, and then loaned to the Indian Air Force, who serialized XX725 to JI010. XX725 was returned to the RAF in April 1984 and went on to serve with 54 Squadron at RAF Coltishall. XX725 took part in Operation Granby, the liberation of Kuwait. XX725 was retired from military service to Cosford, England July 2 2007. As of 2022, the airframe is still airworthy and makes an occasional air-show appearance.
