Ranks
Metalstorm has two ranking systems other than the leaderboard (total trophies, squadrons and aircraft) ranks in the Main Menu. These are Pilot Rank and PvP Rank. Both ranks are shown and accessible via icons at the top left side of the Main Screen.
- Pilot rank
- PvP rank
Pilot Rank
In Metalstorm, the pilot rank serves as an indicator of a pilot's progression and achievement. Pilot ranks are earned at regular intervals, with a new rank obtained every 10 pilot levels until reaching pilot level 200 which unlocks the rank of Air Marshal. The pilot level is increased obtaining experience completing matches. Winning a match grants the player 20 experience while losing a match grants the player 10 experience. Every day the player receives a fresh set of Bonus XP multipliers which multiplies the experience obtained completing a match, regardless if it is a win or a loss. Each day, the following Bonus XP multipliers are given to every player:
Multiplier value | Quantity |
---|---|
×5 multiplier | 1 |
×4 multiplier | 4 |
×3 multiplier | 5 |
×2 multiplier | 5 |
Every pilot level unlocked grants the player
at every level, forever, as the pilot level is uncapped. Note that the player can only maintain a maximum of
in inventory.
Pilot ranks details
From pilot levels 200 to 299 the next level requires 50 XP more than the previous level required. From pilot levels 300 to 400 the next level requires 100 XP more than the previous level required.
PvP rank
The PvP rank in Metalstorm gives an indication on how many trophies a pilot has. trophies are gained or lost when a match is won or lost. How many depends on the amount of trophies the plane that was used has got and which position was obtained on the match scoreboard. The position is determined by how many points were earned during the battle.
