The Su-35 Super Flanker is a heavy fighter that entered into service in February 2004. The Su-35 is an extensively modernized Su-27 Flanker. It is a supermaneuverable air superiority fighter that utilizes thrust vectoring engines in place of canards on the leading edges of the wing root.

Special Ability
The Su-35 Super Flanker has a special ability called 
Gun Cooling. When equipped and triggered, which instantly removes all the heat from any cannons and reduces the overheating rate by 50% for a short period of time. There is a cool down period between uses.
Veteran tips
The Su-35 Super Flanker is a well balanced airframe. It is nearly a copy of every other aircraft in the Flanker family. Both its short-range and medium-range missiles have longer lock distances and are fire-and-forget. Its internal precision cannon has longer range and medium armor piercing ammo. Armor piercing ammo can deal increased damage against opposing armored attack aircraft. Its afterburner has impressive performance, with 15 seconds of burn time, and the speed to be an advantage in Air Superiority. The Su-35 is the fastest and most maneuverable of the Flanker Family. Its weapons loadout is best used in close range attacks, where the airframe's supermaneuverable make it a terror in the skies. It is equipped with two medium range radar-guided, fire-and-forget missiles. It is suggested to commit to locking and firing a medium range missile and immediately, lock and fire a short range missile as a following shot to nearly guarantee a kill. When out of medium range missiles, switch over to short range missiles and heavy use of the cannon. The most skilled pilot would exploit the supermaneuvrability, and let the cannon auto aim do the majority of the work to keep the airframe pointed at an opponent so that the short range missiles can lock and fire. If the pilot can hit an opponent with the cannon, they are in the optimal shooting envelope to lock and fire a short range missile. Utilizing the special Gun Cooling will keep the cannon firing and keep the cannon/short range missiles in a perfect pattern for maximizing damage. Being a heavy fighter, it has better durability from the start. The special ability allows the pilot to maintain excessively long cannon bursts the battle. Easy to fly, and over all great weapons performance, the Su-35 Super Flanker is deadly in the hands of both a novice pilot and a veteran pilot. It is a great performer in dog fights and Air Superiority where its speed is advantageous.
Trivia
In-game, the Su-35 Super Flanker's thrust vectoring modeling is impressive. In real life, this thrust vectoring provided increased agility over the other Flanker variants. In-game the Su-35 appears to be equipped with a pair of Vympel NPO R-77 active radar homing beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile which is the Russian counterpart to the American AIM-120 AMRAAM missile. It also appears to be equipped with six Molniay R-60 a short-range lightweight infrared homing air-to-air missiles.
